La storia di Koh Samui

The story of Ko Samui Tailors

Ko Samui Tailors was born in 2013 in a small town on the Riviera del Brenta, near Venice, from the vision of a group of Italian designers and entrepreneurs who shared a passion for fashion and innovation.

At a time dominated by fast fashion, the brand chose to go against the current, focusing on high-quality T-shirts made with fine cottons and cutting-edge printing techniques.

The belief that the value of a product lies in the quality of its materials, in attention to detail and in craftsmanship led the founders to choose production made entirely in Italy, drawing on local skills and manufacturing excellence.

A choice that became an integral part of the Ko Samui identity, giving life to garments recognisable for their quality, comfort and stylistic research.

The origin

The story of the Ko Samui name begins far from Italy, during one of the many journeys of one of its founders, Alain Smania.

At a time marked by the desire to explore the world, Alain travelled in search of extraordinary places, distant cultures and new experiences.

The guiding ideal was freedom: living without borders, letting yourself be surprised and finding inspiration in what you do not yet know.

On one of these journeys Alain arrived on Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand, and was deeply captivated by it.

According to one interpretation of its name, the island is linked to the idea of a Safe Haven.

An image with a special meaning: finding your own haven in the freedom to discover the world.

When the idea of creating a clothing brand took shape, Alain chose to call it Ko Samui, turning the memory of that island into the symbol of a philosophy that would guide its identity.

The art of wandering

The spirit of travel became the heart of the brand's creative identity.

Like a journey without a set itinerary, Ko Samui collections move through different worlds: art, music, cities, cinema, engines and contemporary culture.

A deliberate graphic anarchy, free from a single aesthetic language, where every collection is a new destination.

Creativity knows no borders. Quality remains the fixed point.
